Bit of a random one but I figured this is the right place to ask. I recently started supplying fresh dairy and labneh to a few cafeterias in Sharjah and Deira, and I’ve been moving everything in these cheap open baskets I picked up from the Saturday market. Problem is by the time I reach the second stop, things have shifted around and a couple of lids popped off last week which was embarrassing to say the least. A guy at the warehouse suggested I look into closed crates instead since they stack better and nothing falls out when you’re doing multiple drops. I had a look at crateco.ae and honestly I didn’t realise there were so many size options, which is where I’m getting stuck. My question is really about airflow, because sealed crates sound great for keeping things contained but I’m worried about condensation building up inside during summer deliveries. Does anyone here use them for chilled goods, and do you drill small holes or just leave them as they are? Also wondering if the stackable ones hold steady when the van brakes suddenly. Any real world experience would help me a lot before I commit to a bulk order.
