Took my 458 Italia out for a spin last weekend and noticed a nasty grinding sound every time I braked at low speeds, which scared me honestly because I’ve heard nightmare stories about shops messing up the carbon ceramics on these cars. A friend told me to look for Specialist Ferrari Brake Pad Replacement Dubai and I ended up on that brake pad site that lists workshops familiar with Italian exotics. Decided to give one of them a shot in Al Quoz and man what a difference, the new pads bedded in perfectly after a few hard stops on the way to Hatta, no more noise and the pedal feels solid again. They even showed me the old pads which were completely glazed over from the summer heat. Has anyone else had trouble finding a garage that doesn’t treat a Ferrari like a Nissan Patrol? Would love to hear your go to spots.

Glazed pads on a 458 from summer heat is more common than people think. Dubai temperatures alone can cause glazing even without aggressive driving, glad they caught it before it got worse.

Carbon ceramic brakes on a Ferrari are genuinely unforgiving of the wrong pad compound. Finding someone who actually understands the bedding process makes all the difference in how they perform afterward.

Al Quoz treating a Ferrari like a Patrol is a real concern. The pad compound, bedding procedure, and torque specs on these cars are completely different and not every shop will admit they don’t know that.

That grinding at low speeds on CCM brakes always sounds alarming but glazed pads are usually the culprit rather than actual rotor damage. Still not something to ignore on a 458 though.

Hatta run after a brake service is honestly the perfect test. Real world heat cycles and proper hard stops bed everything in properly far better than city driving ever could.
